THUNDERWING

In the Transformers Generations (TFG) series this has got to be one of my favorite Decepticons, Thunderwing. If you’ve collected a few Seekers in the TFG series, you’d notice they all look similar. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to have a Starscream repaint.

As you can see, Thunderwing’s plane mode looks very sleek & stylish with the right combination of color contrast given to it. The landing gears are situated under the cockpit and the shins behind. Hence, the plane wouldn’t be scraping on the pavement.

Transformation-wise is quite easy and in robot mode, the blasters can either be kept at the back of the wings or attached on the hands. One thing to look out for are the soft shoulder pads (black & cannon-like). They are soft and might already be partially bent while in the box.

Contrary to typical ‘bot faces, this one has a rather sinister & devilish appearance. You’ll also see that the cockpit can be detahched to form a drone scout to aid Thunderwing.

When it comes to poseability and articulation, Thunderwing can strike a few menacing poses. It has 23 points of articulation. Armed with two blasters and a drone scout, this is one Decepticon you want to stay away from. I’d give it a 9/10 in my collection, it’s a must have.

Lastly for those of you born in the 80′s, here’s reminiscing the vintage G1 Pretender Thunderwing. For additional information on Thunderwing, check this out.
