WARBANDIT

I'm not sure if you know what these are or actually seen one of these Medabots in toy stores before. I collected some of these when I was in Australia for a couple of years. I thought they looked pretty adorable, so I picked up a few toys from this series.

Warbandit stands about 5 inch tall & is made of very sturdy plastic. I believe this is their deluxe category. Over the years, the plastic still feels hard.

As you can see, even though there are blasters on both arms, only the left arm can be fitted with projectiles. The plastic launchers can be shot in just under 2 feet of distance.

JOLT

Now if there was one word that I can use to describe this figure, it's would be 'tight'. Jolt is molded after Chevrolet's Volt from the US market. This car comes in grey plastic with a black top giving it a  sporty image.

Other angles of Jolt in vehicle mode.

Here we see the bottom of the car where the arms are folded together snugly.

Jolt with the MechTech weapon that can be attached on either sides of the roof.

Here's why I say that this toy is 'tight'. The transformation process on this toy isn't as easy as it looks. But when you start flipping and moving parts around, you'll realize that there are very tight gaps & space for you to move the limbs around.

As you can see from the side view, the rear wings stick out like sore thumbs.  Unlike bumblebee,  you can't fold them in.

The only pose which I find menacing is when you start to flip the legs out wider & bring forward the arms as though Jolt is about to lunge at an opponent with lightning speed.

Lastly, the head sculpt reminds me of seahorse don't you think?

MEGATRON (REVEAL THE SHIELD)

Let's take a look at a miniature Megatron for a change. This Decepticon leader falls under the legend class & is only a few inches long.

The other side of the gun reveals the emblem. The material used for the emblem resembles the G1 era insignia where you have to apply some force onto the holographic logo to identify if the character is an Autobot or a Decepticon. Hence, we have this series known as Reveal The Shield. In actual fact, all you have to do is to just take a closer look at the logo to see if it's an Autobot or Decepticon logo.

Being a legend class, transformation is too easy.

Posing is very limited as I had trouble balancing my Megatron.

There is one complaint though. Being a legend class, I have no idea why the manufacturers still had to dye the tip of the gun barrel orange. It's not as though this was a life sized replica of a firearm whatsoever.

ARAGORN

Good day friends. Today's short review will be on Aragorn, from the table top game Lord of The Rings.

The paint job that I applied on Aragorn was based on the first trilogy, Fellowship of The Ring. The boots & leather vest are painted in slightly different shades of brown. If memory serves me right, I left the sword unpainted on purpose to show the natural color of this metal miniature.

WB-002 WARBOT STEEL CORE

When I first saw the prototype mold of Steel Core by Fansproject, I wasn't too interested in this character. It was just before the launch of this figure that some of my friends mentioned that this is a rare gem & an exclusive figure that I decided to grab hold of it.

In vehicle mode, Steel Core looks like a futuristic assault truck. In many ways, I feel that there is a resemblance to Ultra Magnus due to the smoke stacks at the side of the vehicle.

If you take a closer look at the images above, you'll see there is a peg, where a trailer could be attached to it somehow. I've seen a couple of teaser images of the trailer where it's suppose to be carrying additional Corers. Let's just wait & see what Fansproject has installed for us.

The cockpit opens up to reveal Corer. The figure fits nicely in the driver seat.

Here's a closer look at Corer.

Corer bears resemblance to the G1 Powermasters where the figure transforms into an engine to be attached onto the larger bot. Although this figure is rather small, don't be fooled as Corer is very poseable.

A side to side comparison between Corer & G1 Eject.

The fusion between Steel & Corer to form Steelcore.

This is Steelcore in robot mode. I can't say that I'm a fan of this figure but I have to admit that I'm happy to own one since so many people have been looking for this figure.

The plastic on this figure is very light, as though it is made of cheap material. However, the quality is impeccable. It's a pity the smoke stacks are bloody obvious in robot mode. It would have been better if there was a way to tuck it to the sides, making Steelcore a little more aerodynamic & sleek.

Steelcore's primary weapon is a battle axe that can also be turned into a blaster. The should flips open to reveal a stash of micro missles to be hurled at unexpected enemies.

Among other shots of Steelcore so show how flexible this figure is. To sum it up, I'll be leaving this bot on my shelf for display, alongside my Warbot Defender & Assaulter.
