GOLD BUMBLEBEE

Today let's take a look at Gold Bumblebee from Reveal The Shield (RTS) series.

This is a legend class figure & instead of the usual bright yellow, Bumblebee comes in dark gold.

The transformation process is too easy & here we have a close up of the face.

There is only six point of articulation & this was part of a set of other legend class (RTS) series that I purchased.

This toy would go well with large diorama bases such as the all new Metroplex, or compliment older base series such as Micromasters.

OPTIMUS PRIME (REVEAL THE SHIELD)

Here's another look at a figure from Reveal The Shield toy line. The legend sized Optimus Prime is being depicted in the G1 truck format.

The little shield emblem is attached ontp the left of the truck.

All you have to do is to flip the lid at the back to reveal Prime's head.

Being a legend class figure, do be careful when transforming Prime. You don't want to snap off the smoke stacks by accident now do you?

The legs can only be bent at the hips & not at the knees but thankfully the arms have better articulation. Perhaps for this line of legends, it would have been better if they came with weapons.

MEGATRON (REVEAL THE SHIELD)

Let's take a look at a miniature Megatron for a change. This Decepticon leader falls under the legend class & is only a few inches long.

The other side of the gun reveals the emblem. The material used for the emblem resembles the G1 era insignia where you have to apply some force onto the holographic logo to identify if the character is an Autobot or a Decepticon. Hence, we have this series known as Reveal The Shield. In actual fact, all you have to do is to just take a closer look at the logo to see if it's an Autobot or Decepticon logo.

Being a legend class, transformation is too easy.

Posing is very limited as I had trouble balancing my Megatron. 

There is one complaint though. Being a legend class, I have no idea why the manufacturers still had to dye the tip of the gun barrel orange. It's not as though this was a life sized replica of a firearm whatsoever.

WRECK-GAR

This bike brings back a lot of childhood memories from the Transformers G1 cartoon movie. In vehicle mode, Wreck-Gar comes in the form of a motorsport bike.

There is a smell peg for you to flip down in order for the bike to stand. The bike handles & rear view mirrors are made of soft bendable plastic, hence do pay careful attention where or how you intend to store this toy. Just take a look at my hand brakes from the image above.

Hasbro's done a great job with the face sculpt giving Wreck-Gar the G1 look. Wreck-Gar looks like a seasoned warrior that has been through countless war cycles & lived to tell the tale.

In robot mode, don't expect the transformation to by symmetrical like most other Transformers. The wheels are actually stored on the left of Wreck-Gar to form a large shield. The exhaust pipe forms into a battle blade that can be stored at the back.

From the picture Wreck-Gar looks fairly stable, but don't be fooled. You'll have to position Wreck-Gar nicely otherwise the figure might just topple to the side.

Overall this is a great figure to display. However the problem I always encounter is when transforming this robot back into vehicle mode. I tend to miss out on certain steps as it is a little tricky.

STARSCREAM (REVEAL THE SHIELD)

I bought this in a set of four, along with Gold Bumblebee, Megatron & Optimus Prime. Today let's take a look at the first one.

In vehicle mode the transformation gaps are fully sealed & the wings clip into position nicely onto the legs.

Although a legend size, transformation requires a little more work than your other legends. It doesn't take a scientist to crack it & I'm sure you'll be able to transform it easily.

Once transformation is complete you'll see that this figure looks pretty cool with the weapons attached to the side of the arms. One major setback of this figure is that both the arms & legs can't bend forward. This is due to the transformation design off this toy as the limbs only move sideways.
