GHOST RIDER

One of the few characters that I'm fond of from the Marvel universe is Ghost Rider. Throughout the years there have been a few Ghost Rider toys from Marvel Legend's toy line. This Ghost Rider is from Series 3.

From the pictures above Ghost Rider has many points of articulation, however it just can't stand straight.

The chains around the body can be detached to form a metal chain whip.

Here's a look at Ghost Rider's bike.

A closer look at the details on the bike. Only the bike's handles are movable & detachable.

Here we see the fierce Ghost Rider on his trusty steed. The motorcycle is actually very stable & you don't have to worry if Ghost Rider actually falls off.

In conclusion, Ghost Rider serves as a very stunning figure to pose alongside your other collectibles. The fiery skull stands out amidst the leather suit & the finishing on the blazing wheels look as though the motorcycle is actually moving forward.

VENOM

You'd be surprised where I picked up this 12' Venom! It was from a local video store rather than a toy shop. Although in the past few years I've been focusing my collection on the Transformers line, I couldn't miss out on this item. This was how I came up with part of my blog's address many years ago.

Although this figure stands about a feet tall, it isn't really stable. There have been many occasions that Venom has toppled off my office table & the cleaner lady has to pick it up again.

As you can see, the figure is very articulate & can be posed in a variety of manner. The tongue can be rotated around while the jaw & fingers can be move about. One main weakness that my figure has is that the joints at the ankle are not that sturdy. This could be the main reason why the figure topples every now & then.

I've become bored of toy figures that are too small nowadays. Hence this serves as a great display piece. The only problem as I've mentioned is the ankle joints. What I've done is to apply some white glue to fill up some of the gaps in between. When the glue dries, the joints can still be moved about & you won't see the stain. Do give this a try on some of your toys that have joint problems.

CABLE

Let's have a look at the Marvel universe for a change.

This is Cable, from the X-Men comic series. The toy comes from the Marvel Legends, Series 6 line.

Being one of the few early Marvel Legends toy that I own, I've always been impressed with the amount of flexibility & articulation points that this toy line has.

Here taking a look at Cable with his upper vest. As I'm doing this review, somehow or rather Cable remind me of 'Major Chip Hazzard' from the stop-motion movie Small Soldiers.

Here's Cable hover bike. When displayed, the transparent stand give the impression that the bike is actually floating. The base of the stand has shown signs of yellowing as compared to when I first purchased this toy.

Now let's have a look at Cable, riding his bike. The handles & foot pedal of the bike are flexible and can be adjusted to fit the figure.

It's a pity I don't have that much display space for my toys, especially the Marvel line. I believe this is one common dilemma that many hardcore toy collectors encounter. Hence, I'm reserving my shelf space for my Transformers.
